case selection and cooling question

I have a addtronics case. The quality is fine and I ahve been happy with it, but I do not think the cooling is up to what most cases are. When the side panel is removed, you can not see the cpu because the the power supply is on top it it. Wouldnt this hurt air flow? My duron tops out at 900mhz but it gets real hot at that temp too. The range is 45-49C. I have artic silver and all the good stuff(look below) I only have one case fan at the front. Recently I added a fan at the top of the case in the front too which blows airt out. The problem is that the cpu is at the back. Would it be wise to get another case? I could drill a hole and mount a fan in the top of the case over the cpu. thanks?

A lot of us have a simular setup: a fan at the front,bottom,sucking air in.A fan at the top,at the back blowing air out.A fan on the side of or in the front of the harddrive(s)blowing on them.A fan on the cards.And the newest thing is fans cut into the case itself.Either in the side,or in the top or both.

I know your temps may seem high, but that's right in line with the average for an overclocked T-bird or Duron. I would turn that fan in the top front so it blows in. As a general rule, fans in the front should blow in, fans in the back should blow out. Your power supply fan and your top front fan may be working against each other creating a space of dead air leaving just your HSF to handle the load. Let me know if you get any lower temps by turning it around.
