I'm setting up a gaming box + TV watching box... Got a good deal on a Newcastle Athlon + mobo (ATX). Need a new case, but I'd like it to not be a massive Chieftec/Antec full tower. My last case was a Fong Kai FK-320. Cool in the beginning a pain to work with afterwards... Too heavy, a drag to move, etc.

My Linux box is a Dell 400SC, I like its low-noise, and think its right-sized. Are there any equivalents from Antec or Chenbro?

Are desktop style cases a major PITA for DIYers? I'd like to get a slick looking desktop case (never worked in one), kind of like the Cooler Master here.

The Sonata from Antec is interesting, but $125 is a bit much for a case...

Any recommendation < $75 would be great.

I would be willing to shell out more. But, the case would have to have a slide out motherboard tray, be completely tool-free... Something like a powermac style case with the mobo on a door would be nice.

Take a look at the Coolermaster Praletorian(sp?). You can find info on there site about it. The motherboard try is removable, its very sleek looking, very simple yet effective design, and if you replace the fans with Vantec Stealths (80mm) its near silent.

Good luck.

It's my front runner to house my new system - the review are excellent and it appears to be just what I want in a case.
