Oks, i've got a few questions on my upcoming system, which is to be my first. And i'm wondering a few things. This is what i'm aiming at roughly.

tbird 900
kt7 raid
geforce ddr (current com)
2 128 pc100 (current com)
40g diamondmax plus ata 100 (i think)
sb live
klipsch promedia (current com)
CASE??

I'm looking to keep the speakers from my current computer, and until i save more money the ram's gonna stay too, and the geforce is doing alright for now, but what i'm really wondering is what kind of case i should get?

I was thinking on a nice case that'll keep my system cool, but i'm also looking to save some money. I know 3dcool has a nice case, but too expensive. www.electroseller.com has some cheaper cases that i could add some fans to, but i don't know how good thier cases are, or i could go with some of the cases that are mentioned here on this board, but i'm really looking to find a good deal on a case that'll keep my system cool, any suggestions? Any help would be great as this is my first attempt at all this, and if anybody could, how exactly do you cut the holes in the case(cut with what?), and how would you mount the fans? Thanks a bunch.

I'm not from this site, nor am i trying to endorse it, but they have some pretty neat looking cases. http://store.yahoo.com/computerheaven/index.html

i don't think that the kt7 supports ata 100. also, most problems with the kt7 involve the raid controller. i suggest that you just get the kt7-no raid. if you don't plan on overclocking, get the msi kt7.

as for a case, i'd recommend the antec sx830. costs about $80 at onvia and you get free shipping. it also comes with an antec 300w "smart" power supply and 2 fans.

I'm thinking on overclocking, but maybe not right away, after i get it built i'm sure i'm gonna wanna try it out. The no raid kt7? sounds good to me, and i was thinking of getting this case

I'm not really sure, but is it better to have a full tower or mid for cooling? it seems a full tower would be cooler because of it's bigger size, but is it or no? Thanks a bunch.

The Fong KAi 320 is a good/cheap case. About $100 and you can put a 120 mm fan in da front. You can get it from directron.com.

Where did you get your Antec case. I'm looking for the SX830 and it doesn't seem like there is much availability yet.

Personally I have an Antec KS188, picked it up from CompUSA for $100 I think with 300 watt power supply. It has a ton of room, and one thing I liked about it is there are 2 80MM fan mounts right above the power supply, and right behind a set of HD mounts.
