OK, I need a little info from you guys. Hopefully you can help me out. I currently have an In-Win A500 mid tower case w/ default PS (either 230 or 250 don't remember). Anyway, I am looking to buy a new mobo & CPU (KT7 and Duron/Tbird). I remember, back when I was looking into the celeron 366@550, I saw that certain Slotkets would not fit in this case due to the verticle power supply.

Basically what I want to know is will I have any problems with fitting said mobo & cpu in this system with a decent HSF (considering the FOP32-1). Does anyone have this type of setup?

I do know that I need a new PS (getting an Antec Athlon approved 300W). If it won't fit inthis case, anyone know if this case is any good, cooling wise or any other features. I love the case I have now, mostly due to the removable mobo tray. :) Thanks.

I would say just buy a new case. Cases with power supplies are almost as cheap as buying the power supply seperate. I have a link to onvia which has lots of antec cases. They have enlight cases there too, you just need to do a search for them. Hope this helps.

You CAN fit a Slotket into that case, but it can be a tight fit. I recently built a system for my in-laws with that same case and a Celermine in a Slotket. I just had to remove the P/S, slide the MOBO in, then mount the slotket w/ CPU & HSF. The GORB I used rests snugly against the outside of the P/S and even helps cool it! I don't forsee and problems getting a FOP32-1 in there. You don't have a lot of room to work with, but you've got enough. If you want a good case the Enlight 7237 is a popular choice and can be found online for under $60 w/ a 250 watt P/S.

I don't need a slotket. I am just getting a KT7 and Duron w/ FOP32-1 (possibly the Alpha PAL6035). I just want to know if there will be any problems with this setup. Will the FOP32 be too high? Will there be enough room for proper air flow? Etc...

Thanks

You will never know unless you look for yourself, or take some measurements. Here is some pics of the enlight 7237 case. Case. Im going to get an abit KT7 and I have no fear of it not fitting. There are many different shapes of great HSF's out there. You might want to put it all together in a case that you like, and then pick a fan that will fit. The only other option is to go to a computer store that carries them and look for yourself.

Freeze- I'd say you shouldn't have any problems fitting an FOP32-1 in that case, but if you were going to buy a new board, CPU & etc I'd buy a new case as well. The A-500 is a good case, but if you like to tinker with stuff any you'll want a case that's more roomy. Airflow shouldn't too much of a problem, but that case isn't big enough to mount extra fans in if you want more airflow.

Any suggestions? I was kind of thinking about getting a new case (the one linked in my first post). I can get it at Best Buy (work there). I'd have to see what my discount is. Other than that, what are the other good ones, for around $80 shipped? Thanks.
