Hi Guys,
Just took the plunge and bought a K8N Neo2 Platinum. After reading a lot on the forums here and elsewhere about the problems of this board being picky about the PSU. Can people suggest a decent case/PSU for this board? Or people who have this board can tell me what case/psu works you?

I intend to run a couple of HDD and a DVD Burner and a video card. I don't think I'll be OCing.

Thanks
Mayank

Good PSU brands
PC Power & Cooling Inc. (top of the line)
OCZ
Antec (some of them are better than others)
Fortron Source (some of them are better than others)
Sparkle (even though the name isn't beefy)

Case is a matter of personal taste really.

I like my Super Lan boy: http://www.newegg.com/app/view...=11-129-145&depa=0

It's quite, light and very easy to carry with the straps. Only complaint is if you arn't carefull with the side pannles you can bend the parts that slide them in and really create a big problem putting the sides back on without a hammer. ;-p

I knew about Antec and OCZ, but I have heard that the Neo2 Platinum is picky about PSUs and I haven't quite figured out what I need to look for in a PSU to make sure it'll work with my board. So just want to know from others what has worked for them.
My board will be here on Tuesday and I won't be able to sleep if I have the board, CPU and everything else but can't run it because I don't have a PSU that it'll work with :)

How is the Antec Sonata case and PSU? Has any one had that work with the Neo2 Platinum? Also one thing interesting is that the Sonata spec on newegg mentions that it give 18A on the +12V, but the Antec website states 24A. Are there 2 versions of this case/psu?

Antec updated the power rating on all their PSUs. I believe that the 380W power supply in the Sonata now has 24A as stated on the Antec website. I would go with that over what's posted on newegg. That power supply is plenty for the neo2.

I bought an Antec True480 in November that newegg had rated at 22A but, when I received the power supply it had a sticker on it stating that it was really 480W.

Edit: I really like the Sonata case. I almost bought it but, then went with the slk3700-BQE instead. The BQE had better cooling potintial and more space inside (4 5.25" bays instead of 3 with the Sonata).

Thanks a lot, I like the reviews for the Sonata, but wasn't sure if the PSU/Neo2 combination would work.
