Case PSU not going to cut it?

Okay, I've purchased my case from newegg, as well as most of the parts in my sig. Anyway, this week I plan on purchasing from Best Buy a 6800 OC for $250 with HL2 and FarCry, but people have said that the power supply won't handle it well or something to that effect, and I don't really want to go out and buy another $60 power supply ( I haven't received my case yet even).

But here is my case anyway:

This case right here

If it were an Antec or Enermax 350, I'd say you'd proibably be ok, but I wouldn't try it with an Aspire PSU. They tend to have weak 12v rails. The one on that link only has 12A on the 12v rail. I would NOT trust it.

I've got that case right now with the stuff in my sig plus a 200gig WD IDE hard drive and it runs fine, but upgrading the PSU is on my to do list.

I'm not sure how much more power hungry the 6800 is than my 9800pro but I would consider buying a better PSU regardless of the vid card you end up using.

Little heads up though about the case. I hope you don't mind having a night light cause this case WILL light up your entire room at night with the LEDs on the front.

Okay, I'ma look up some reviews for the thermaltake PSUs to make certain; I've not gotten much input from the several boards I frequent except here. Also, blazer, all I got from that link was the Microsoft homepage... Were you saying my PSU link was borderline or the case PSU link was borderline? I know the latter is true just want some clarification.

Also, I kinda want bright lights in my room; add to the overall coolness effect and I don't really have a problem sleeping with lights near me.

Thanks all

the psu that comes with the case / i would not power the sys up with it !!!

the psu in your link is borderline at best,20 amps min is needed on the 12v rail.

do not consider a dual rail psu !

Pick up a Fortron 350W or 400W if you're on the cheap.

You probably could have prevented this by buying an Antec SLK3700AMB in the first place, which has an Antec 350W and is only $67.

I think 18 amps on the 12v is sufficient, but more is always merrier.
