Hey, new poster, thought I'd ask you guys about my choice of cases.

Case 1
Case 2

Which would you guys prefer if you had to choose? Thanks for your tips!

Welcome to the Forums (and Happy Holidays!)

I'd go for #2. I just like the black\silver contrast and hate that "X" window on the first one. They look like the same case but different side panels and colors.

Exactly. Same company, the only difference is the side panel and color scheme. The only drawback to the black case though is that I have no black drives... all beige/white.

I like #2 because of the dual fans on the side. Basically they are the same. Pick the one that best matches your carpeting or desk.

Rubisco,

Both cases are on par. Do you want to settle for mediocrity? But if they were the only choices left on earth (thank God they are not) I would choose neither. If you look close at the pics (kudos to newegg) you will see that the mobo connector plate is part of the case. If that plate is not easily removable, then I hope your good with a dremel. If you already have the mobo and the connectors are the same, great! If not, happy cutting.

I own that first case (its used in my old computer) and it sucks! It bends easily, if you breathe on it the paint scratches, and it is loud (like if you close the side panel the noise level doesn't go down). I know it looks good (til it gets scratched) but I regret buying it.
