Case power switch

Off the power switch on the case, the wires are wound once around a small metal cylinder.

What is the purpose of this?

That metal ring... hmmm it's been bugging me too... I think it's just for keeping all the wires from the front of the case together and not falling about...

yea, I think it is just to give the wires some weight so they dont end up all over the place. Helps keeps things neat.

It seems like an inefficient way to organize wires.

It must have some other purpose...hmmmm?
