[The following was written by a friend of mine who would've posted it himself, had Anandtech's forum sign-up page been working...]

Im about to buy a new case and cooling for that case, currently im planning on buying an antec 830 which comes with an antec 300watt PS, as well as 2 80mm fans. Im going to buy 2 more 80mm antecs from my friend who's upgrading his, which puts me full up of case slots (unless i mod). Then im going to buy 2 filters, either metal from plycon, or some plastic ones from an number of sites. The plastic ones are cheaper, but ive heard the metal ones are better quality, is it worth around 5 bucks added to my total to get 2 metal ones over the plastic's. All that stuff puts my total at 109 if i get the plastic filters. Now its time for the questions.

1. Are there any other good, cheap (atx) mid-tower cases with the following : at least 2 120mm fans or 3 80mm's, (without the massive obstruction often found on cheap case's intake fans) a decent amount of drive space (not humungo full tower stuff), a quality PS, or if there is no PS it should be pretty cheap so i can buy one, and finally, enough space to work in (no mini atx). I also like but dont need : drive rails, thumb screws, anything else that would make the case easier to work with.

2.Will i need a 350 or 400 watt ps considering im getting 4 fans, my system is an 850athlon and a radeon 32ddr with otherwise pretty basic stuff, but i will be upgrading to whatever current athlon is out there in about 6-10 months. If i will deffinitly need a new PS in the future ill probably just get the upgraded PS now.

3.Is there any good place to get chieftec cases at good prices? I recently found out that they where completely identical to their antec equivilant, so if theres any way i can get the same case or better for cheaper i want to obviously.

4. The filter thing i accidentaly put up there in the intro.

5. Any other odd info i should know about any of the stuff i mentioned above, or other suggestions, keep in mind that i do want to keep my price under 130 (the way i have it set up my stuff will cost 109)

Case
- How about a GlobalWin 802 case? Have a look here.
- Failing that, it can be modified with extra intake / exhaust fans - look here to get some idea, its all the same case.
- Either way, there is a lot of space, there are five 3.25 inch bays, so you can fit 4 hard drives if you want a floppy, or 5 drives without the floppy, and there are three 5.25 inch bays.
- My favourite part of the case is that the motherboard tray (and PCI card mounts) slide out of the rear of the case, so that you can install the motherboard and cards and just slide it into the machine.
- Should come with some thumbscrews.

PSU - This is an endless debate. Some people dont believe you need one, and do fine with a 250watt generic PSU, and some people believe you need a really BIG one! :) I'd say that if you are running an Athlon, have a look on AMD's site and find the list of approved PSUs. Thats the sort of thing that gives me peice of mind.

I dont know about your other questions, but get back to me with more questions if you have any :)
