Case Mod's Do-it-Yourself or Buy from Web

I have been reading this forum for about a month now...
my question is it best to modify the case myself..(fan hole's etc or buy one already
configuerd....I am not the best on Power Tools but shelling out $50.00 bucks for a case only to screw it up sounds bad..

It wasn't that hard to do it myself. My friend and i did it together in about an hour. Just buy the fans and with bought a 92mm hole cutter. Drilled right through and then drilled the holes for the screws. Done. Easy.

It is pretty easy to mod the case, you can't really hurt it, maybe just make it ugly. There are some preconfigured cases out there, but they cost an arm and leg and it seems like everybody just ends up modding them anyway!

Do you have the time and the tools to start doing this? Do you have some extra cash? If you have the time, tools, and cash do it yourself. If you dont have the time and tools (and dont have the cash to dump into any tools just a case etc) buy a premade one. I just bought a premade one and everything but the powersupply is great. I want to do these things myself at some point, I just dont have the time right now.

You will learn and get a lot of satisfaction from doing it yourself. But then if you feel you are total klutz, it's not worth risking the loss of a few fingers.

Do you own or can borrow a Dremel tool set? Do you have the patient to read articles? If the answer are yes to both, then do it yourself. It is very satisfying to do it yourself.
