I'm building a pulsating LED contraption, I found the how-to
Here. And was wondering where I could find super-bright LED's to purchase online, or if anyone has 1 or 2 they would like to trade or sell.
Hopefully I can build this thing and not end up frying anything. :D

Anyone build one of these before?
Now i'm off to find some of those loud a$$ Delta case fans to make my computer case hover off the gound :p

This is the one instance in which I would recommend NOT buying online. Your local RadioShack will have everything you need in the LED department. (Well, maybe not those Green LED-10,000 mcd typ. --Damn those are bright!--). RadioShack's prices are the same, if not lower, you don't have to pay shipping, and the best part is you don't have to wait for them to ship to you. I just replaced the dull green power LED in my Lian Li case with a 3000mcd Blue LED and damn is it cool!!! It is so freakin' bright it will make PS2 owners jealous!

Plus, at radioshack you can get big 10mm LEDs, dual-color LEDs and flashing LEDs. Yeah!

Hi.. I just got a antec 1040 case and I wanted to change the power and HD access LEDs on it. I was wondering what size and power rating of LEDs I need or, what can I look for on the current LEDs to I find out?

I've had several failed attempts at building that pulsing LED circuit. I'm somewhat knowledgable in the way of electronics and can follow most guides, but this one just doesn't like me. Keep us posted or PM me if you get it working please.

LEDs:
in addition to Hosfelt and BGMicro,
MPJA
All Electronics
Fiber Optic Products

I would not recommend that you buy them from RadioShack unless you need the immediately and in small quantities. They charge $5 for white (1100mcd) and $3-4 for blue LEDs, depending which one you get. Expensive for their mcd ratings.
