case mod question for antec sx1040

i was wondering if there was any way to mount a 92mm fan where the hd cooling fan belongs.. normally fits a 80mm but i'd like to hear if anyone modded their case for a 92 to fit?

I have heard that on that case if you remove the holder for the 80mm you can mount a 92 right there. You will have to either drill holes for screws or mount it with some kind of addhesive. The 1040 case is the same size as my 830 so i know there is enough room down there for a 92mm. Aso for putting one in the spot for the HD bay i believe a 92 is bigger then the cage for the HD's, so just mount one down where the 80 mm one is.

Yea, I have that case and modded it slightly. I removed the bottom tray, and drilled out the rivets so the mount would come out. Then used a hole saw and cut out 2 92mm holes. I mounted 2 92mm panaflos down there and they work great. I put the hd's in the cage that the floppy usually goes in. Who needs a floppy, I don't. Works well and airflow is great and low noise.
