I just ordered a new case that is black and silver. Of course my beige CDRom, CDRW & floppy will stick out. I wanted to paint the bezels black and wanted to know if anyone knows of a specific site that has good general info about painting faceplates and such. I was looking for info like, "Paint brand preference; flat, semi-gloss or glossy finish; general steps in removing bezels from components." I've seen several sites where people showed their particular mod, but was looking for possibly a site recommended by fellow Anandtech readers that had good general technique, info and so on. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks!

I painted mine.

I just dis-assembled the face plate, buffed it a little with some very fine sandpaper to rough the surface, and then painted with regular Rustoleum paint.

Take a look for Vinyl Dye, also known as flexible Vinyl spray, or similar.

It actually dyes the plastic, unlike paint, which sits on top of the surface.

It comes in a few different colours. Take a look at your local auto parts store :)
