I need to paint my Raidmax Case and my mom's Corsair case before I put them together. What kind of paint should I get? Spray or? Should I prime it?

They are metal cases, her's is a Corsair graphite 230t (rebel orange) and mine is a Raidmax vampire (black).

I would use a spray on primer, then the spray paint of my choice, then if you want it glossy use a spray on gloss finish.

why paint the rebel orange? that's already an awesome color.

anyway, they'll need to be washed thoroughly, primed, any gloss bits will need to be scuffed, etc.

So slightly sand it, prime it, spray paint it?

My mom digs anything purple so I thought be a great surprise to paint it purple before I build it

Sand it a lot.

Prime it. 2 coats.

Sand again (a little)

Spray primer again.

Spray paint.

Dry.

Carefully mask everything you don't want to paint

Remove all buttons and fixtures.

Added a couple of the more annoying steps at the beginning.

Before you paint things you're going to actually want to look nice practice on something else first.

I found a pro to paint it but now I have to pay $45 for a replacement board which has to be money out of my pocket so the pretty paint job has to wait. 🙁

Thanks for the advice everyone!
