Do I want '4-pin' fans? Will I need power supply adapters to handle 4 case fans? What works best for power connections? I want to start with 2 case fans, with ps connections for 4, if needed later.

My primary objective is a quiet system. I'm thinking PCPower&Cooling fans.

Planned system:
XP1800+
SK6 + a quiet fan?
Epox 8KHA+
Antec SX830 case
Enermax EG365P-VE-FC
PC Power&Cooling case fans
IBM 40GB
Crucial PC2100 DDR 2x256mb

Thanks.

it is better to use 4 pin fans, as they dont draw excess power from the motherboard. You will not need any adapter, and the fans usually are pass-through, so you can still plug that lead into another device; ie- they dont hog the power connector. While I have no experience with PC P&C fans, I know that Panaflos are fairly quiet, and Papst fans, although espensive and hard to find, are the quietest you can find.
