Case Fans

Well, first of all, what fans do you have, and what motherboard do you have. Safest would definitely be to power them off of the PSU. I'd contact the maker of your mobo, and find out what amperage the fan headers can support on the mobo.

The case is a Antec P180b and the fans are the stock Antec 3-speed fans that came with it, they really don't have a lot of ballz... 😀 The motherboard is an evga 680i. I have everything installed and running now off a 750w PSU, just wondered what people where doing now. This is the first system I've built in the last 2 years as I was running the Dell XPS line till just recently.

My Yate Loons are powered off the PSU. I don't have a need for fan controller with the 120mm because I try to keep it simple, cheap and quiet.

If the fans need less than 0.4 Amp max. each, then it's plenty safe to hook them to the mobo connectors (one each).
