Case fans

At the moment I'm running my system with only one case fan, a 120mm Antec fan blowing the hot air out the rear of my machine. I'm aware that I probably need at least another case fan for the spec of the machine I'm running so I've purchased another 120mm Antec fan. There is a space at the front of my case that would allow me to attach this other fan. My question is, would it be better to have this fan blowing inwards, increasing the strength of the airflow through my case, or to have this fan blowing outwards as well, meaning that more cool air seeps in through the various gaps and vents in the rest of my case?

Thanks! I thought that would probably be the case. I'm also thinking of modifying the top of my case and putting one or two 80mm fans blowing the rising hot air out the top. In my head this makes perfect sense, but from anyone's experience is this a good idea?
