Case fans?

Hi gang.

I'm setting up a new system tomorrow and I am wondering what's the best way to hook up fans - to the motherboard or PSU?

In my current case, I have 1 case fan already. For my new system, I'll use that existing rear exhaust, I bought another Nexus 120mm case fan for intake, and I'm getting a 92mm Panaflow for my XP-90. I also bought a Zalman fanmate 2 for the CPU fan to get it around 7v. Now, my new MB has attachments for the CPU fan and 2 case fans. Should I just hook them up to the MB?

Thanks!
Aaron

some fans (alot of cpu) have an attachment for the powersupply and motherboard (for speed regulating purposes). I personally dont like plugging fans into motherboard because thats just more volts running through the motherboard which i like to avoid. So unless you wanna see your rpms or regulate fan speed through your motherboard i would just say connect to psu. Its also a matter of cable managment and of how many cables you have. Some fans just come with a molex and not a fan so that can make it hard. Good luck
