Case fans: are all created equal?

Two questions:
1) Are case fans necessary for an A64 system (just running at stock speeds for now) with a Radeon 9800 Pro?
2) Are all case fans considered equal? I'm looking at fans from here

I'm afraid to put the case on my computer, because when I do, the I/O shield feels warm to the touch (which it doesn't in my current modus operandi with the side panels of the case off.

Unless you have a very good fan on your power supply, a case fan is a necessity for current high end systems.

There things like ball vs sleeve vs syntec bearings, CFM, noise/loudness you might want to consider for case fans. Just do a search and you'll get lots of info.

1) On stock systems, probably not.
2) No. What are you looking for? Maximum air displacement? Quiet? Cool lights?
