I need to connect some wires to molex pins and don't have a crimping tool around. Is there a problem with just squeezin the pins with needlenose pliers? If not, does anyone know where I can find a molex crimping tool for somewhat cheap?
 
Haven't tried with pliers. From what I've seen of the molex pins, you MIGHT be able to get that to work. But, with other items I've crimped, it's far better to use tools made to do the job than try to mickey-mouse up something else. Especially when you can get the tool to do it fairly cheap, and then you won't need to worry about screwing up either a connection or wire.
