Case fan questions.

I've got two 120 mm fans in my case that have the regular molex connecters as well as a smaller two or three pin connector. Now this smaller connector only has one yellow wire in it. This is for rpm monitoring, right?
Where do I connect it to? I have a few different connections on the motherboard (evga 680i) like sys fan, two chassis fan and Aux fan. Can it just connect to any of these?
The motherboard manual only mentions the cpu fan header and the chipset fan.

You should be able to hook it to any mobo fan connector except the one for the CPU fan. But not all fans are necessarily monitored. Take a look in the BIOS setup and you should be able to find out which connectors monitor the fan speed.

thanks.
I went ahead and connected each to a chassis fan header. I can only see one in the bios though. the other one shows 0 rpm. I'll wait until I get everything up and running and figure out why.
