case fan question

I'm using the Antec SX830 case with the stock fans (one in front and one in the rear). I want to lower my case temps a few Cs and I'm interested in adding another case fan. My question is should I get the Panaflo H1A or the Sunon mid grade. Both seem to be around 32dba and 39cfm...but people claim the panaflo is quieter. Also, would I even need something that has 39cfm or should I just go with the panaflo L1A. I could put a couple of those in.

i'd recommend going with a couple L1A's rather than a H1A or Sunon 39 cfm. 32 dbl is quite a difference from the 21 dbl that the L1A's put out. 11 decibles is around 3 to 4 times as loud. i'm currently running the 1000 series antec (enermax version) and am using 4 L1A's on the case, and one on the heat sink, and i have to say my computer is very quiet. if ur gonna go for a larger fan, i'd say the larger fan would do more good on the heat sink than on the case unless ur currently suffering from really bad air flow.

I have 3 Panaflo L1As in my Antec and it is great. Dont have the rest of the system built yet but the fans a really quite and great air flow. Also getting a HDD fan soon and a couple Enermax Fan II's. Hope this helps.

Are you sure I should go with the L1As? I already have a 30cfm, 39dba delta on my hs, and I have two 30dba, 34cfm Antec case fans...that's already pretty loud. I felt like adding the H1As wouldn't add any noise. Please let me know.

i'd personally recommend just replacing all ur 80 mm fans with L1A's. this should quiet ur computer down considerably. remember, one loud fan means ur system will be loud.

well it doesn't feel like my 34cfm, 30dba antec case fans are loud at all....nor does it feel like they push much air which is why I was considering the H1As. Keep in mind I already have a loud 39dba delta on my hsf. Will the H1As make my system louder?

The H1As do put out noise, but it is not ear piercing. You do notice a diffrence in noise level between the L1A and the H1A. With the Delta in your box, that should still be the dominant in terms of noise. Good Luck!
