I am having an issue with my case fan not spinning up past the minimum RPM rate. I have it plugged into a 4-pin MB connector, which I was under the impression would control the speed of the fan. The fan I have is a 600-1200rpm Cooloer Master 4-pin fan.
I had this problem in the past with the same setup. I used a 3-pin fan in the back and I had the same issue. So I just recently bought a 4-pin fan with hope that the system would increase the RPMs when needed.
No matter what I run on the PC, it stays around 600-640rpm. I have a Gigabyte P55M-UD2 motherboard. Am I missing something? Is there something I need to do in order to get this to work?
