Hi

I have just bought a Globalwin 802 case and 2 YStech 80mm fans. This may sound really stupid but I am stuck. I have two problems.

(1) The rear fan. How do you attatch it?? None of the screws that come with the case fit (they are all too small) and the fan came with nothing. I notice that the 'screw' holes on the fan are not threaded, so maybe screws are not the way to go, but what is??

(2) The fan mounting at the front. As you look at the case from the front the left two clips come of easily enough to free the left side of the plastic mounting but the right side is a different mechanism and will not budge. It seems that something needs to be manipulated from the inside but does anyone have one of these cases and know the answer. And once off I am not sure how to attach the fan to the case.

Thanks

Andy

You need to use nuts and longer screws. Most places sell fan fixing kits for a couple of pence, or you can go to your local hardware shop and see what they have there.

I don't have one of these cases so I cannot really comment but most cases simply use a plastic cage to hold the fan. You can get this off the case by pressing in the tabs which is holding it to the case. To attach the fan you mount it inside the drive cage (you don't need any special fixing brackets), just push it in there and then refix the cage to the case. I hope I explained that okay

Hi

Thanks for reply.

I looked on the website where I bought the fans, and yes fan screws were staring me right in the face. How could I have missed then... Regarding the fan cage the tabs on the left are exactly as you describe and indeed come out as you describe but the pair on the right still have me baffled...
