Case Cooling Fans-Set-Up

I'm doing my first build and I was wondering about Case Cooling. The case I ordered was the Antec SX600II. It has room for 1 exhaust and 2 intake. Do I purchase 3 pin fans and connent to motherboard (MSI K8N Neo4-F). Or do I purchase molex fans and just connect directly to power supply(Fortron 500 Blue Storm)? Or is the exhast to go full tilt and control the intake to adjust air flow? Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to AF

Get case fans that'll connect directly to your PSU,

The exhaust fan's more critical than the intake fans, while the intake fans noise would be more apparent,

so basically, you've answered your own questions 🙂

Exhaust fans dictate system temps, intkaes have no influence. Intakes will however promote good air flow (less dust build up) and keep your HD's nice and frosty. Promethply is correct, intake fans will be more noticeable from a noise stand point.

As far as 3 pin vs. Molex connectors it really doesn?t matter. For my system and most that I build I run all the case fans off the MB headers for several reasons. 1 it's cleaner since you're not running PSU wires needlessly all over the place. And 2 it allows the fans to be controlled via software or BIOS based on CPU, HD, or case temps.
