Hey fellas,

I was wondering if I could get a better handle on my temps.. I know alot of you guys will say they are ok, but I like to keep things cool..

AMD 64+3200 (Venice)
Zalman 7700-cu
ATI x800xl
FS Blue Strom 500w
2gigs corsair XMS pc3200
Case: 33C - 36C
CPU: 42C-53C

I have a lian li case, with 4 of these fans:

My Fans

I have 2 fans in the front for intake, 1 up on the top as a blowhole, and 1 in the back as exhaust. I have tried reversing that back exhaust fan to intake, and that seems to help a little bit. Should I switch it back to exhaust? or leave it as intake?

Also, I have cut out the metal guards in the blowhole and rear far to increase airflow. And I have all four fans on high..

One thing I am going to try to putting an Arctic Silencer on my x800, maybe that will bring down the case temp? I was also thinking of adding a 120mm fan to my case window, will that help?

Any suggestions?

Do I need better fans?

Is there a different configuration they should be in? The ones I have push 31cfm, so I dont think thats the issue..

Maybe I am overlooking something... Thanks.

I would say 3 intake and 1 exhaust. Just need to know where to put the exhaust.... Its better imo to have airflow come into the case and has allthe heated air blow out one fan. Maybe the exhaust at top? It also depends where you place your case? Like mine is under my desk with two walls on it, one on the left of it and one behind it. So my fans intake from the free side case and exhaust towards the wall. Up to you really. This is more of a opinion matter.

A 120 in the side window blowing on the vid card will definately help, side fans usually hit the memory and northbridge too, helping cool them.

That would give 3 intake and 3 exaust (counting the psu as an exaust) if you use the top blow hole for exaust.
