Hello,

I am looking to build my first system and was already to order an Enlight 7237 300 watt case and AMD XP, etc when I decided to measure the tower opening in my computer desk. The opening is only 19.5" deep and the enlight case says it is 18.9: deep. I figure with the power cord coming out the back and the rest of the hook ups, this will not work.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap case $47-60 range with 300w or better PS that will fit in an 19.5" deep opening? I will have 2 hard drives, floppy, 2 cd roms and an EPOX or Shuttle 266A mother board. I planned on adding a secon fan to the Enlight so a case that supports 2 fans would be nice.

Thanks

I don't recommend keeping your computer in your desk. Athlons need airflow, and if your computer is in a hole, it's going to get hot.

I agree with CStroman. Closed in areas with little or no ventilation are a recipe for overheating issues. If you can remove the rear panel and keep the front open so that air circulates freely then it shouldn't be a big issue but if not then I would choose a different location for it.

I agree with NesuD. Cut out the back if you can and take off the door to eliminate heat issues. It will also solve your depth issue.
