Case and Power Supply...

This may be off topic, but I don't know where else to ask. I'm building a new computer, and I'm wondering about a good case and power supply. It can't be too much $$, but I do want it (the power supply) to be stable and of good quality. And for the case, I want there to be plenty of room and want it to look nice. 🙂

Any help would be appreciated.

Check newegg.com. There is a Foxconn/Allied 350 or 400 w midtower for about $50 shipped. There is also a Maxtop 350w mid I've used a few times. Allied power supplies are solid. Not as sure about the ones in the Maxtop case, but I haven't had any problems.

If you don't need over 300 watts, then there are a variety of choices in the $50 range. Check the customer comments, and stick with the ones the customers like.

xxxWatt does not matter 'that' much

what you should look for is the rating of 12v+ .. it should be AT LEAST 12A, if it's below 12A, don't ever get it.. it'll cause random reboots and all sorts of problem, i went through... i don't want to think about the hassle i had to go through... checking CPU, switching HSF, etc etc..

Good brand names.. Antec, Enermax, will have a good 12v+ rating.. which result in top stability of you system.

i have enermax 300w that has 18A rating, i left my system for 1 week, and it's strong.

i built a pc w/ codegen 350W PSU, and it randomly reboots, when it feels like it... and i checked its rating.. and it has 10A... pathetic..

good luck, you should be in rest w/ enermax PSU.
