ok, so here is my question... what power supply should i get with this? i know i want a seasonic s12 series, just not sure if i should go w/ the 600w (only $10 more than 500w) or 430w... any suggestions???

and as far as the case, will the power supply cables reach everything w/o a problem?

thanks.

The S12-430 will power that system with PLENTY of power to spare, and the cables should reach.

If you are not a quiet freak, stop reading and enjoy your new system. (the below is for quiet freaks only.)

I'm not sure if the Lian-Li is the best choice from a ventilation and quietness standpoint, because it puts the PSU in an isolated compartment. I would prefer to use a case that does not compartmentalize the PSU because I can use the S12's 120mm fan to help vent the case. With the PSU helping to vent the case, any additional case fans can be run at slower speeds to keep quiet.

That's why I got rid of my Lian-Li V1000 (similar to that 1200) and went back to an Antec Sonata.. With my Seasonic Super Tornado 400 PSU, the Sonata's temps never rise above 29C under load when ambient is 25C with the case fans all running at the slowest possible speed.

HTH.

You should be fine with the 430.

If you decide you want more, I agree that the low cost of going from 500 to 600 would make getting the 600 a better deal.
