ok i have everything hooked up except the pwer led switch and i look on the motherboard and there is no thing that says power led but i do see a power fan that is a 3 pin thing and so is the power led switch so should i plug the pwer led switch in the power fan?

Power LED is not a switch, right?

I don't think power LED should be connected to power fan. Maybe you should refer to your MB manual for instruction on where is the connector for POWER LED.

Personally, if your computer is not too quiet (like mine), you don't need the power LED to tell whether the machine is ON.

Look on your motherboard manual. It should have the mobo layout that tells you where to put the power led connector.

What motherboard do you have?

Also the power LED should be with the reset switch, power switch and so on. They are almost always together. Actually I have never seen them not.

thats a problem i dont have a manual and however i do see something that says yellow/green but its only a 2 pin connector and i have a 3 pin connector for the pwr led

i think we are talking about 2 diffrent things here......1 is the power led lead wire...its for the power lite in your case.......it is a 3 wire plug in......there is a place for it on the edge of your m/b where all the case connectors go..it will have small writing on the board by each pins ....you can hook it eirther way and you will have to try each to find the right way........2nd is the power switch connector ....it is a 2 wire connector ..and usally goes at the end of the case connector bunch of plug in pins.....
