Is CAS2 really that much better then CAS3 RAM. I need to get me some PC133 as that is now my last upgrade I need. But I was curious to the actual beifits of say..mushkin PC133 CAS2 for $165 or the Rev2 for $194 vs. the budget CAS3 for $139. I just spent some bucks on a 700E, Gorb and a CL Geforce2 GTS and now need RAM but need some advice on the differences of the two before I throw somemore money at my system.

I don't think it is really worth the exrta cost. If you have money to spend, then I'd recommend CAS2 but otherwise the 3-5% performance gain isn't worth the extra cost. Rather get more CAS3 RAM

It really depends on how many more fps you want to get in games such as Quake3. CAS2 will get you around 3-5 more frames.

I think they are also more overclocking friedly

I have "cas2" and plain Cube pc100 in the same system and both are running at cas2, no crashes. So maybe the premium you pay isn't always required.
