I'm running a CAS3 memory stick at CAS2, without any system instability:)
Is this bad for the memory? I think if it runs stable, there's nothing to worry about...

No problems, memory hardly ever fails, if it runs it should be ok. Im running generic pc133 cas3 at 149MHz cas2(my kingston didnt even go that high)

I think if there's a problem, your system will crash before any damage is done to the memory.

Like every1 said it shouldn't be a problem. I'm running oc'd memory in multiple systems and never had a prob.
