CAS/MHZ importance in Memory

Just made it up to an Althlon 64 board. It supports PC3200 DDR. I currently have some crucial PC2100 memory (512x2) @ C2.0. I really don't want to spend the big bucks for a gig of PC3200 C2.0 memory and I'm wondering if upgrading from my current memory to, say, a gig of PC3200 @ C2.5 would make a significant difference, or if I'm better off just waiting until I can afford some hi-performing PC3200 stuff. I'm currently looking at Geil's PC3200 Value Series. Is a .5 timing difference really going to make a huge difference?
