I'm looking into buying 256MB PC133 RAM from Crucial.com and I was wondering if it was worth the extra $2 to have RAM with a CAS latency of CL=2 instead of CL=3? They say you won't be able to see the difference in most apps but since I play games and I'm going to be doing so video editing, would CL=2 be better?

thanx

If you don't mind the extra 1 clock cycle latency for initial data burst,
don't buy Crucial CL3, buy Kingston Valueram (CL3) from dell when there is 20-25% off promotion, it'd be $10 cheaper than Crucial CL2.

Depends on what the memory is going to be used for. If you do graphics, video editing, etc, more memory is better, cl3 is fine
but for games, cl2 will give you a performance boost
you might as well just spend the extra money
