CAS 2 vs CAS 3: Clarification needed

I generally know what CAS means and why 2 is better then 3. Now, I have K7V and some decent Mushkin RAM. What would be the practical advise on trying CAS2. I.e. I have 3 settings in BIOS:
SDRAM CAS Latency [3T](which I presume should go to 2)
SDRAM RAS Precharge Time [3T] (should I change it to 2?)
SDRAM CAS to RAS Delay [3T] (should I bring it down as well?)

Thanx for help!

For best performance, you should set all three at 2. If your RAM is good, then it should be able to hit 2-2-2. Good luck with your RAM.

Now that's funny. Got it all the way to CAS 2 (2/2/2). Run the 3D Mark and got the score lower, than CAS 3 (43xx vs 45xx). Is it possible? If so - what's the advantage?

From crucial faq:

What is the performance difference between CL2 and CL3?

Description:

What is the performance difference between CL2 and CL3?

Solution:

CL2 parts process data a little quicker than CL3 parts in that you have to wait one less clock cycle for the initial data. However, after the first piece of data is processed, the rest of the data is processed at equal speeds. Latency only affects the initial burst of data. Once data starts flowing, there is no effect. Bear in mind, a clock cycle for a PC100 module is 10 nanoseconds so you probably won't notice a significant performance difference. Most systems will accept either latency part. However, there are some systems that require either CL2 or CL3 parts. These requirements are built into our Memory Selector.

to be stable at cas 2-2-2, did you have to lower your fsb?... cas 2 only gives better performance than cas 3 when your running the exact same settings...

No. Not at all. I'm running all default settings - 100 FSB, 133 Mem. Really strange.

Cas 2 is faster. My generic PC-100 ram works at Cas2 and works at 133 cas 3.
