Okay, I'm new to the boards, and I'm really interested in building my knowledge of computers. I read a lot of reviews and articles, and I figured this would be a good place to come ask a question.
When people say "I have 512MB of Corsair XMS CAS Latency 2-2-2-5", what are those 4 numbers? I know that the lower the CAS the better (i.e. CAS 2 = better than CAS 2.5), and I picked up that it's because the less latency, the better. But what about the numbers in that form? I see on newegg.com sometimes, it's "CAS Latency 2-2-2-5-T1". What's the T1? (And on one of AnandTech's newer reviews, it was something like a memory was CL2, 2T, 5T, 2T, 1T. I'm really confused).
Thanks for the help, ahead of time. The more in depth you get, the more pleased I'll be. 🙂
