now=crap.....not to mentio nthe rest of the cast, the scripts..urgghhh....

I saw an old episode the other day ( I haven;t see nthe show in over a year) and I was in tears. Truely, the writing of their early years was absolutely fantastic. The irony, the intelligence, and the somehwat intricate complexity that was vividly appearant in Futurama was simply a joy to see in its most original and infant form.

The simpsons were great. Futurama was great.

No longer.

Aye, but they went with a more "childish" soprano-ish tone istead of the more baratone tone she used to use.


Sort of like Homer....urg...I HATE the increase in pitch that they added to his character. I like the old grumpy sounding version better...

Subtle, but key.
 
Homer from the first season or two was either different, or the voice actor had serious larynx surgery. Btw I thought Yeardley(sp?) Smith did Bart's voice? At least, at one point, dunno about currently.

Yeardly did/does Lisa's voice. Homer's voice did change but the actor is the same (also a Tracy Ullman ulumni)

 
Not cartoons (robot puppets)... but I can't go without an MST3K reference.

Crow (Trace Belieu -> Bill Corbett)
Gypsy (Jim Mallon -> Patrick Bransteg)

Tom Servo may have been played by someone other than Kevin Murphy in the KTMA episodes. The voice is definitely different, but it still could've been Kevin, I never bothered to look it up.

they ruined all the freakin cartoons. But I actually remember the "new" Dougs showing on ABC when I was still young enough to watch the show, so it's been a long time since he changed. Rugrats on the other hand... that needs to stop. How many freaking siblings does Tommy have now

I was actually going to mention Rugrats. They murdered Rugrats worse than Doug. As soon as I watched an episode of Rugrats 'All Grown Up' I knew it was done for.
