IRL road races won't happen until at least 2003 though. CART is screwed though. They brought it on themselves. Whether this will be their last season though, I'm not so sure. It is the beginning of the end for that series though. Funny how people doubted Tony George when he started the IRL.

I new CART would die because Tony had the Crown Jewel of racing. The Indy 500. As powerfull as Rodger Penske is he just could not compete with the Indy 500 mystique.

Cart may be weak, but they still have better drivers. Just look at the Indy 500 for the last 2 years. The best IRL full time teams got spanked by part time teams. I predict that this new season will have alot of wins by Team Penske also.

The IRL has had alot of weak drivers and teams for years, they only reason they managed to survive was the Indy 500 name, and Tony George's big fat wallet.

Tony George should be ashamed to what he did do the Indy 500. Anybody that has alot of money could have bought a ride indo the IRL and indy 500, especially the first few years after the Cart/IRL split. Who can forget the weak drivers they had their for years, all the Nascar washouts, and motorcycle drivers, etc. What about Steve Kinser, after dropping out of Winston Cup, going to the Indy 500 and running into the back of someone on a yellow flag lap?

<< Formula 1 is the best anyways. >>

Yeah Micheal couldn't even get close but Nigel showed up over here he cleaned up. Micheal isn't half the driver that his Dad was.
