Because he's a good man, and he held the religious card. He just doesn't have the... personality for public speaking. Way too soft spoken.

No--Trump is not stupid, doesn't come across as stupid at all. Carson, despite being an esteemed neurosurgeon, comes across as a complete moron. Trump comes across as an absolute asshole, but Carson comes across as incompetent, and the latter is unforgivable. I really believe he only got any attention because some GOP wanted to say "Look, we have a black guy, too, we're not all racist like you think."

True. They wanted a Black guy but not a dangerous black guy. Just one to at least show diversity.

Kind of like the Royal eunuchs that care for the queen back in the days.
