They are not. You have to forgive him, he has some issues. On another note the E-Type is still a British car so other than looks it sucks from a reliability standpoint. I helped a guy restore one. It is apparent the cars were hand built. The frame up front is made of 1" tubing that is brazed together. I would not want to be in an accident in one of those.
There's an old joke that goes "Why do the Brits drink their beer warm?....Because Lucas makes their refrigerators". Lucas also made the electrical systems in Jags....and they were pure junk.
There are a lot of British cars I like from a styling standpoint I just would never own one due to reliability issues and extremely expensive parts.
Yep, I agree with almost everything said, but I'd happily own one just for decorating my driveway.
If I was filthy rich eh? Easy. Deusenberg J. Probably the classiest car ever made, and easily the most gorgeous thing on wheels.

i would definitely go for something vintage, like a dusenberg or bugatti
There is no doubt that the E-Type is a gorgeous car, even the hardtop. I just don't have room for all the gorgeous cars so I have to discriminate.
The coupe is very handsome but the convertible is just gorgeous. The 2+2 is ungainly looking at best.

2+2 if you were around then was very hip. Hipper than an Avanti anyway
anecdotally I remember seeing one at a car show in the 80s that had been modded into a snoopy face....
tongue and everything
I personally would seriously would consider my mental health if a Jag was ever an option.
Wife wanted a XJR and I laughed at her...
sorry to hate on jags...
Daily driver:
Maseratti Quattroporte Sport GT S
These are just the tip of the iceberg. So many awesome cars out there, far too many to list.
Daily driver:
Maseratti Quattroporte Sport GT S
Weekend car:
Ferrari 458 Italia
The "I have more money than 10 generations of your family ever will" car:
1934 Packard V12 Victoria Convertible
or
1929 Duesenburg Model J LeBaron
or
A car powered by this monster
And I firmly believe that Maseratti's should only come in black and Ferrari's only in red. Any other color should be punishable by death.
i think i spot an aftermarket nose and headlights
