What is "bad", though?
My 5.7L grand Cherokee does much better than I expected, given it's EPA ratings, but I think most people would say it still gets bad mileage.

It still amazes me how many people thing Corvette's are gas guzzlers (C5's and C6's get excellent mileage)

My friend's Dodge Ram with a Hemi gets about 20-21 MPG on the highway.

A coworker has a 04 Vette and he regularly gets almost 27-29mpg on highway with a few stops.

GTO with the 6.0. I get 16-17 around town and 24 highway. It's a heavy car with a big motor. You'd think it would be a classic case of gas guzzling. but it's not too bad.

I have a 2002 Saturn L100 (midsize Saturn) and it gets 27 city and 33 on the highway. It is also pleasant to drive and has plenty of get-up-and-go for a four cylinder and an automatic.
