Lol, thats what first came to my mind as well. Large side scoops are usually for engine cooling, so its probably going to be something mid-engined...

Look in my sig, my VW Bus has massive side scoops, it has to, it's air cooled.

Fiero's also had side scoops. One was a direct feed for the ait intake. There are kits to extend the scoop out to make it more of a ram air setup.

Engine Cooling? I thought side scoops were for brake cooling. I could be wrong though..just makes more sense. Especially since Mustangs have them on their body. even though its just cosmetic, the engine is in the front, and it's rear wheeled drive.

Thought about it for a bit, now i see what you mean by engine cooling. if the engine is in the back, there is no "front grill" to cool the engine. So could there be two reasons for side scoops!?
