Cars: Taillights still on, how do I turn them off?

Eh, mom just got home, the taillights ( fog lights? ) won't turn off! I went out to check, and everything seems normal...

Nope everything seems normal. Just the little orange lights in the front and back remain on. 1992 Toyota Celica.

Which are the parking lights? 😕 Everything is switched off. But the lights are still on. Apparneltye this happend a week or two ago as well...

go push the brake pedal up and down, the switch might be stuck, thats assuming the taillights are on. The tail lights are no where near the fog lights though so its hard to say.

Alirhgt it's the little orange lights in the front. And the red lights in the back. Im going out to play around with it now.

Sounds like a bad parking lights switch. (You know, the parking lots are that "in between" spot between having your headlights off and on.)

The switch must not have been slid all the way.

Put the regular headlights on, then turn em back off as you normally would.

Those are the parking lights. The switch for the headlights has three positions: Off - Parking Lights - Headlights.

it will reset everything...its a hard reset for a car...also good if you ever trip your factory anti theft

wtf? why would the lights be attached to a computer on a 1992 toyota celica?

Even the smallest clock uses a computer chip these days, so yes, it will alll be reset... cutting ground wire will reset anytything electrical, you should know that...

Wierd, back it up the driveway, and pulled it into the garage to open the hood and when I got out the lights were off! Go figure! I think I'll let you guys handle the car stuff and stick to my PC and math 😛
