Cars in Switzerland are sooooooo expensive...

ndee

ok, I just looked up the prices on a used Ford Mustang(after reading the "Should I get a '04 GT?" thread). Price for a Mustang GT '01: $34,000! New price for that car was $51,000, that's just insane.

just found on the official Ford page that the Swiss blabla doesn't import the American Fords so you have to go thru a 3rd party. Bleh. Price for a new '04 GT is $42,000. Bleh^2.

Yeah. My dad was telling me a RX-8 was between 40 and 50,000 francs. Pretty crazy. He also told me about the 4L of Mobile1 for $70 francs.

Yeah the fastest RX-8 costs about $40,000. How much does that car cost in America?

come over here and i'll hook you up with a nice Mustang for half the cost 🙂

but then getting it back there may be a problem..... 😛

The 6-spd RX-8 starts around 27,000 USD.

If it's not imported properly you can't really compare. I could say a skyline is soooooo expensive, but that's because Nissan doesn't have distribution setup in the US for it properly.

There are "ways" of getting skylines inexpensively 😉

thats nothing! cars in hong kong are expensive too, 100% taxation, and gas is about $5/gal US dollar, maybe more now.

I will remember that 😀

I think I ask a guy who works for Danzas how much it would cost to import a car. Anyone has some numbers on that?

How do you "properly" import a car? Order it, get it shipped and pay the taxes on it, no?

You've got crap like safety and emissions to deal with. Really bringing it in isn't so much a problem as actually registering it for road use.

It's pretty much all expensive, but undoubtedly one of the most beautiful countries. It's got more culture in a city block than in most American cities - unless you consider fast food and highways "culture" 😛

Honda Civi is more expensive than a BMW in europe 😀
oh...watch out for the gas price too. those welfare state...what a failure. 😛
