Carrots. OMG. :(

Last week I started eating baby carrots like crazy. I'd take a bowl full of raw ones (~20'ish) and eat 'em in a matter of minutes with some Ranch dressing. I continued doing this the entire week, and even had about, 30 today.

I've noticed that I'm getting teh shitz lately. Putting two and two together, I'd say it's because of the carrots. But, since you all know how wrong my conclusions always turn out, I'm asking ATOT.

Do carrots give you teh shitz?

I used to love to eat carrots. I still do, but not as much.

Fortunately for me, carrots do not give me indigestion. I am sht-free!

carrots are a good source of unsoluble fiber. If you're going to eat them and want to keep a regular bowel.. you may wanna consider getting some soluble fiber too - eat oatmeal 🙂

I hate Oatmeal. 🙁

Carrots are high in fiber. Lots of fiber=(come to your own conclusion).

Oh, eat enough of them and your skin will turn orange.

Well carrots have a lot of fiber, and you're bowels probably aren't used to such a healthy dose. I say keep eating the carrots like you are, because they're extremely healthy for you (and so is the fiber). Soon your bowels will adjust and you won't get "the shitz" but you will have larger healthier bowel movements than you're used to (but that's a good thing!).

Do you mean diarrhea?

If not, yes.. carrots contain fiber, which will help you stay regular. 😉 Remember, it's not a bad thing to go to the bathroom.. lol

If you mean teh runz... i've never had that problem. 😛

this man speaks the truth. i believe it is beta carotine that gives them the color. there was a report years back of a kid turning orange from drinking like a gallon of sunny delight (fortified with beta carotine) a day and turning orange

I have them most days of the week, I've never noticed anything weird.

WOAH...I just hit Golden Member!!

I was thinking lots of fiber too. Like celery. Like most vegetables.

Anyway good luck with your sh1tz.

Any mjor change in your diet will give you the runz. Your body jsut needs time to adjust. So if you went from a low vegetable diet to eating ons of carrots ... yo9ur body is jsut adjusting.

I'm on my HS robotics team, and baby carrots are the programming team's mainstay through the 4, 12 hour meetings a week. I swear I could read smaller print after the competition. Musta gone through a few dozen bags of em. Great snack food though. Moist enough to eat without beverage, healthy, and somewhat filling.

Orange skin takes a while to develop, maybe months....

I met an orange guy once, he's from michigan, but went to be a missionary in the phillipines... he drinks a gallon of home ground carrot juice per day. He looks like he grew on a sunkist tree.

I went from eating no vegetables to eating massive amounts of carrots a day. So I just need to adjust? No problem, as long as I don't accidentally kill someone the next time I shitz bullets.
