carribbean island suggestion

looking for inexpensive but nice. i know going during hurricane season makes it less expensive. anyone got a suggestion or three? not really interested in a cruise. also, if it costs a lot to get there i'm not really saving much money even if lodging is inexpensive.

You are probably better off to watch for a deal on a location then decide if you want to go there or not.

Avoid the hurricanes and go to the Pacific side of Costa Rica or Nicaragua. Otherwise an island closer to South America.

Get trip insurance, if the weather gets really nasty and you have to cut your trip short the insurance will refund you.

first time since 2001 that we wont be going on a vacation. Trying to save up for a house.
