Carpet Cleaning Gurus

My of my roomates just moved out of my house. I'm cleaning her carpets today and noticed she must have spilled some hot candle wax on the carpet. Is there any cleaner or solvent I can use to get it out without damaging the carpet?

I just finished carpet-shampooing her room with my Kirby and that didn't phase it.

Cool, looks like I'm gonna try the candle wax method. And yeah...I thought the same thing at first, but if it were "something else" it should have come out a bit easier.
