WASHINGTON, DC *In response to George W. Bush's invocation of prominent Democrats including President John F. Kennedy, Kennedy's daughter Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg issued this statement. "It's hard for me to listen to President Bush invoking my father's memory to attack John Kerry. Senator Kerry has demonstrated his courage and commitment to a stronger America throughout his entire career. President Kennedy inspired and united the country and so will John Kerry. President Bush is doing just the opposite. All of us who revere the strength and resolve of President Kennedy will be supporting John Kerry on Election Day."

Why is Bush invoking the names of liberals? Esp. FDR? I mean, does it get much more liberal than FDR? Or is Bush just pandering?

I think he's trying to get votes from undecided liberals,

just like he's trying to get votes from gay republicans yesterday.

Why was kerry invoking Conservative? Esp. Reagan. I mean, was there a politician with a bigger influence on Conservatism than Reagan in the modern era?
Or was kerry just pandering?

I suppose the answer to both scenarios is the same - don't you think conjur?

CsG

Edit to add - I wonder if people will report Mike Reagan's views of kerry invoking his dad?

Lame on both sides. I disagree with the Kennedy lady, I think Kerry inspires FUD.

Edit to add:"I wonder if people will report Mike Reagan's views of kerry invoking his dad?" No because except for Fox and AM radio Mike Reagan isn't really considered Reagan's son because he's adopted. They'd rather show the other son.

He's not doing a good job by constantly flip-flopping on if liberals are good or bad. He was railing against Kerry during the debates for being the most liberal Senator (which is completely inaccurate anyway.)

FLIP FLOP

It's called desperation and Bush is quite appropriately displaying a chronic case.

First he's against gay marriage, then he's for it. First he's bashing liberals, then he's claiming their mantle.

How can we trust this cynical hypocrite to lead? He is saying ANYTHING for a vote. He has lied to us so many times before.

Bush is really starting to lose it.

Vote for President Kerry. ;)

I wonder how Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg feels about Kerry nailing her aunt Janet?
