Carnivale: Episode 7...

Wow.. the last 5 seconds of that episode got me right back into the series..

But, I really think the pacing of the series is getting too slow for even me, a guy who liked Solaris!

The preview for next week looks like the intensity might start to pick up.. I sure hope so!

I agree that Carnivale is too damn slow.

The mystical aspects of the show needs to be sped up to maintain the audiences attention.

It needs to be re-tooled quickly if it wants a lasting run.

So far, it's amazing to me that HBO is such a hitmaker. Finally, after many years, it seems they have laid their first egg.

I wouldn't call it an egg just yet

Well the Main Character has a the gift of healing and possibly bringing back the dead but when he does someone or something else must die

i like it. even though it's slow-paced i like the atmosphere they build up. and the last twist was quite nice. i'm so in to it right now that i will watch the rest of the episodes for sure.

The Episode when they were in the Mining town of Babylon with all those Ghost Miners was a pretty good one.

I caught the end of the last episode where the preist called his sister saying, "You knew I had this in me." I saw when the preacher was on the river bank (I think) with his leg broken, and the Russian children offered him no help. The Russian boy was able to telekinetically (or however) break the neck of the preacher. Is this what he is referring to? Is the Russian boy him? The kids were also in the picture with another preist.

Sorry to ask so many questions. I'll watch the episode again if it comes back on. If anyone can help elucidate the meaning I'd appreciate it 🙂

Dude, sometime next month they will be showing all the episodes back to back. Watch it then to get your answers. BTW, the Bear belonged to the Blind Man when he was younger and the Bear was feasting on the dead Soldiers killed in battle and left to rot in the trenches.

I liked the slowness at first, it made for a really intense experience..

But, I think they dragged on the nothingness for too long. They need to start explaining a few things or at least progress the story a bit more.
