Carnivale: Episode 11

Damn good episode, imo.

<SPOILER>
Any thoughts on his writing avatar in blood? Perhaps someone more versed in the history of religions can shed light on its significance throughout the episodes?

This is the first Carnivale post I have seen here. My wife and I watch religiously. I hate that the season is over. Although I am excited about the sopranos and six feet under coming back (hopefully soon).

Anyway, I hope that Sophie chick does not come back. Her story line sucks and she is flat out bothersome. Ugly to boot. Jonesy, well, I hope he makes it.

The priest story was heating up nice for a while, seems we are back where we started. However, his sister is another story. Yikes, I could not belive that she was the one who started the fire.

Awe Sophia was cute IMO. However, that was with a lot of make up. I'll miss her and her psychic mother. She represented the youth of the show, without her, the story does become a little narrower.

In a way, I was both satisfied and unsatisfied how it ended. The season finale left some cliff hangers without introducing any new characters. That's the only thing I find bothersome but at the same time I find it justifiably good for the stories sake. It leaves me to wonder where they plan to take us in the next season.

I'm not sure if I missed this, but...

Who told Sophie's mother to sacrifice (if indeed that's what it was) for Ruthie? Was it management? They seemed to hint that Ben had chosen Sophie as the one to sacrifice, but then Lodz sees Sophie's mother and says "not the girl." Was the mother reading Ben's thoughts?

Meh. Any thoughts on the above is appreciated 🙂 I'll watch it again, but I'm still not certain on this.

Yeah, but Ben kills the blind guy (with new eyes). Weird stuff.
